Jason McCartney signs with Team Radio Shack and Lance

Corraliville native Jason McCartney signs with Team Radio Shack for 2010.
Lance Armstrong will be back to the Tour De France in 2010 and moments ago, it was announced that he’ll be back with a new primary sponsor in RadioShack to form a new team. 35 year old Jason, has had a lucritive racing career in Iowa, all over the U.S. and Europe. He has most recently raced for Saxo Bank and CSC. We've even seen him spin mud at Jingle-Cross at the Johnson County fairgrounds a couple years ago. Jason is a two-time winner of the Snake Alley Criterium (2003-04), the hometown race he credits for introducing him to the sport while working as a shoe salesman in a shop on the racecourse. He is also one of only three Americans to win a stage of the Vuelta a España with a victory in stage 14 in 2007. Jason was introduced to competitive cycling because of his job as a salesman at a local shoe store in Iowa City. The shop happened to be on the course of the Snake Alley Criterium - one of the top domestic races in America. It was there he sold a pair of shoes to a bike shop owner who offered Jason a job, and from there he was hooked on the sport.
