Quick Repair Lab Class with Andy Stewart
Tuesday, November 18th 2008 7:00pm
“Andy Stewart has geared this class for cyclists who want
to know how to handle the most common ‘on-the-road’
problems that can put an untimely end to any ride”
Through hands-on exercises participants will learn:
* How to remove and re-install a wheel
* How to repair a flat tire (Each person will replace a
tube)
* How to re-install a displaced chain
* How to center a wheel after installation.
* How to clean and lube a bicycle
ü Preventative maintenance checks
* Tool kit suggestions
* Q & A
1 Session (2 Hours), 7pm to 9:00pm
All tools and equipment will be supplied - Nothing to
bring - Maximum 15 people per class.

Andy Stewart has been a bicycle mechanic, instructor, and
service manager for over 15 years. He received his
certification in bicycle mechanics from the prestigious
Barnett Bicycle Institute in Colorado, where he became an
instructor teaching mechanics to some of the most renowned
mechanics in the industry today. Andy has also served as
a CAT3 certified race mechanic at the Olympic Training
Center, and a resident mechanic at the University of
Wisconsin-LaCrosse Mountain Bike Clinic. He is skilled in
designing/building frames, wheels, componentry, and drive
systems, and has been an editorial contributor to several
bicycle maintenance books and publications.
Andy has been successfully designing and teaching bicycle
maintenance classes to the public for more than over 10
years. As an avid cyclist, his dedication to teaching
others is rooted in a simple idea that the more people
understand about their bicycles, the more they will enjoy
the experience of becoming a cyclists
