The Wapello-Burlington Road Race is a 33-mile point-to-point race on Iowa Highway 99, giving novice racers the opportunity to road race with others of their skill level. The race begins in Wapello at the Louisa County courthouse at Main and Franklin streets, immediately after the more competitive Burlington Road Race participants ride through town.
The Burlington Road Race is an out-and-back race of about 85 miles, beginning at the Port of Burlington Building on the Burlington riverfront. The course goes north from Burlington on Iowa Highway 99, to Wapello, returns on Highway 99 with a side loop west to Mediapolis, then back to Highway 99 and on to Burlington for the finish on Main Street.
