BRR, a tradition that cold can't break

About 500 cyclists from around the state braved below-zero temperatures to participate in the 30th Annual BRR Ride, a 23-mile bike ride from Perry to Rippey and back to Perry. Yes, it was this cold. The frost and icicles hanging on Bob Burnett of Norwalk, left, show just how frigid it was Saturday. With the temperature around minus 5 degrees, almost 500 riders were pedaling from Perry toward Rippey and back. This was the 30th year for the Bike Ride to Rippey, aptly dubbed the BRR ride.
