The All9yards.com Racing Team would like to kick off May with a great announcement - we are introducing a new omnium race series to Des Moines starting Thursday, May 18 at Waterworks Park!
The Omnium format will consist of:
5k prologue time trial:
On the 'figure-8' loop of Waterworks Park.
Timed Circuit Race:
Thirty minutes after the last time trialist finishes, riders will be grouped into 'A' and 'B' class for a circuit race over the main loop of Waterworks Park (same course as the All9yards.com Waterworks Park Circuit Race.) After the event has concluded, results will be compiled to announce top finishers in the overall Omnium format. This will be a great event for new cyclists and experienced racers alike - the short and fast prologue time trial will test your speed and stamina. The circuit race will improve your bike handling skills and pack riding abilities. Ask anyone who trains or races at Waterworks Park, and they will tell you it is a great place to safely learn to improve your skills!
Mark these dates on your calendar - this will be a GREAT new opportunity for our community!
NEW RACERS

Come out and check out the fun and either race or cheer on your favorite locals! Training for Iowa Games or Triathlons? This event series is the perfect opportunity to train your legs, mind and lungs for these annual events! Get some great intensity and intervals in with this build towards your summer goals! Check out the monthly Elkhart Time Trial Series for a longer 12k race against the clock!
