Orange City was announced as the kickoff city for RAGBRAI LII, the annual late July event in which thousands of bicyclists pedal across the state of Iowa.
“We expect that we’ll have 25,000-plus folks in Orange City for Saturday,” said Orange City Chamber of Commerce director Mike Hoffman. “So, we’re excited.”
The route for the 52nd edition of The Des Moines Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa was unveiled at an announcement party in Waukee last Saturday. The first day of the statewide ride will take cyclists from Orange City to Milford, the town of around 3,000 residents situated southeast of West Lake Okoboji.
