Cedar Falls is preparing to host thousands of bikers during this summer's RAGBRAI.
The city was selected as an overnight stop on the 52nd annual ride across Iowa. Riders will spend the night in Cedar Falls on Thursday, July 24.
This marks the first time RAGBRAI will pass through Cedar Falls since 2015.
We are thrilled to welcome cyclists from across Iowa and across the globe to Cedar Falls this summer! You don't have to look very hard to see our community's history and love for cycling and hosting RAGBRAI this year is a great opportunity for us to show that love," said Cedar Falls Mayor Danny Laudick. "It is also a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase downtown, our beautiful trail network, and everything that makes Cedar Falls an incredible city for outdoor recreation.
The Cedar Falls RAGBRAI committee is already planning for the stop. They say the main entertainment will take place in the Cedar Falls Downtown District.
Campground locations and additional parking will be sorted out in the coming months.
