The Friends of Off-Road Cycling (FORC) is excited to announce the annual FORC Frozen Fat Fondo Fest, a winter biking event that challenges participants with a thrilling fatbike endurance ride. This year’s event will begin at 11 a.m on Saturday, Jan. 25 at Credit Island Park in Davenport.
Registration can be completed online here. Participants can register as solo riders or as part of a three-person relay team.
Entry Fee is $30 for adults (before Jan. 21) or $35 (Jan. 21-24). Fee goes up to $50 on the day of event. It’s $10 for participants under the age of 18 (before Jan. 21), $15 (Jan. 21-24) and $30 on the day of event. Packet pick up will be held on the day of the event from 8 to 10:15 a.m.
Schedule
- 8 a.m.: Course pre-riding opens
- 10:45 a.m.: Mandatory riders’ meeting
- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Fondo Fatbike Challenge
- 2:20 p.m.: Bike Jor Demo Race - Sled Dogs pulling Fat Bikes
- 2:45 p.m. Fondo Awards - once all riders are in
- 3:00 pm - Raffle to follow awards
All proceeds from the event will benefit FORC in their efforts to maintain and improve local singletrack trails.
