Part of the Neal Smith Trail at Saylorville Lake will close for two weeks starting Monday, November 4th.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says the section of the trail between the Bob Shetler Recreation Area access point to the Cottonwood Recreation Area entrance road will be closed between November 4-18 because of a planned waterline replacement. Part of the asphalt trail will be torn out and replaced with concrete in order to access tie-in locations to the existing waterline.

Officials remind anyone using the trail to avoid marked areas, respect fencing, and comply with posted signs.
