We are one month away from Ottumwa’s stop on the RAGBRAI route on July 25th.
The Executive Director of Ottumwa’s Chamber of Commerce, Marc Roe, says they need at least 75 more volunteers and 50 host families to accommodate all the bikers set to come through Ottumwa next month.
“We could get by, but it would be very painful, so we’re going to need as much help as we can get.”
Positions available include things like working the information booth, cleaning up garbage, set up and tear down, and helping bicyclists get from their campgrounds to the downtown area. If you are interested in volunteering, you can visit this link to sign up.
