A Cedar Falls man has been arrested in connection with two stolen electric bikes.

Cedar Falls police arrested Benjamin Williams Kreimeyer, 39, on June 13 for two counts of second-degree theft. He was also arrested for interference. Bond was set at $10,000.

The first bike– valued at $1,729– was stolen during a burglary on Catherine Street in August 2023. On May 11, 2024, Cedar Falls police found the bike in a driveway in the 1600 block of Main Street.

Officers allegedly traced the bike back to Kreimeyer.

Kreimeyer allegedly told police he bought one of the bikes on Facebook Marketplace, but officers weren’t able to verify his account, records state.
