Sioux City Parks and Recreation is kicking off the summer season with the grand opening of the new mountain bike trail system and other activities at Cone Park.
The public is invited to attend an official park dedication and ribbon-cutting event on Friday, June 14 at 1:30 p.m.
The following day, Saturday, June 15, the public is invited to enjoy the Cone Park Trail Fest. The Trail Fest will be from 10 a.m. – 5: 30 p.m. Admission is free. The Trail Fest will have live music, food trucks, craft beer, vendor booths, kids’ zones, and more.
The season-opening for the Cone Park Mountain Biking will fall on June 16. Visit the park and explore 10.5 miles of natural trails. The trails are for every rider regardless of experience level. Cone Park Mountain Biking is free for public use Sunday – Monday from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.
To improve your riding skills and add more to your experience, visitors can try the new Pump Track and Jump Lines.
