There was plenty of discussion regarding possibilities to connecting the Raccoon River Valley Trail and the High Trestle Trail at Perry’s City Council meeting on Monday.
One of the items on the agenda related to a resolution for the bike trail route within the City of Perry. City Administrator Sven Peterson talked about the plans to connect the RRV Trail to the HT Trail with having a designated route on Second Street through the city. Second Ward Jeremy Mahler expressed his disagreement saying that he would like the easiest route through the city requiring the least amount of turns as possible. After extensive discussion, At-Large Chuck Schott suggested to table discussion and the council agreed to resume conversation at the next meeting on May 6th.
