The City of Bettendorf was recently honored by the League of American Bicyclists for building a better place to bike.
During the City Council’s regular meeting on Sept. 19, city leaders and the Bettendorf Parks and Recreation Trails Committee were recognized with the league's bronze-level Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) award.
Bettendorf joins 506 other designated bicycle friendly communities across the country.
The award recognizes Bettendorf's commitment to creating transportation and recreational resources that benefit residents of all ages and abilities while encouraging healthier and more sustainable transportation choices.
