A perfect Fall bicycling Destination - All on the Raccoon River Valley Trail between Jefferson and Cooper. You'll hear local and regional musicians performing along the eight miles of trail between the two towns.

Raccoon River Valley Trail When: Sep 5 2009 The fifth annual “Trails & Trills” bike ride, will take place on Saturday, September 5, on the Raccoon River Valley Trail between Jefferson and Cooper. The ride on Sept. 5 will start at the Jefferson Depot at the trailhead in that town. Packet pick-up for participants, as well as on-site registration, will begin at 8:30 a.m. The ride will start at 10 a.m. Cyclists will then ride to Cooper, stopping frequently to listen to the musicians. In Cooper, there will be lunch served by the local Committee for a Super Cooper while musical groups continue to perform. Most participants then ride on back to Jefferson, although shuttle rides will be provided for those who don’t want to ride their bikes on the return trip. You can register here
