hosted by the Mineola Fire Department and Wabash Angels. Come Support those who support the trail!

WHAT ARE THE WABASH ANGELS? Born on “The Taco Ride” on a Thursday evening at “Margaritaville”, The Wabash Angels are a new group made up of bicycle enthusiasts from all corners of the Metro area. Trasey Woods of Council Bluffs and John Houchins of Omaha decided to organize a group that could help the Wabash Trace Nature Trail in Southwest Iowa and its attendant communities by fundraising and promoting the trail. They have a 12- member board of directors from Nebraska and Iowa and meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Their first project is to assist the Mineola Fire Department in raising money to buy and equip a small emergency vehicle that will fit across the bridges on the Wabash Trace. To that end, they and the Mineola Fire Department are holding a Pancake Benefit on May 2nd from 9:00- 11:00 a.m. at the Mineola Community Center, Mineola, Iowa. Breakfast costs $6.00 and raffle tickets are $1.00 and there will be entertainment.
