After a one-year hiatus, CITA’s Spooky Woods Ride returns!
We will start our ride at the southern trailhead in the parking lot of the old Target on Euclid. Parking is available across the street for those so inclined. From there the group will ride Sycamore to the brickyard (unpaved), hop on the Trestle-to-Trestle to just north of the interstate (paved) before re-joining Sycamore and continue on up to NW 66th Avenue, then back to the sandbar (unpaved) on the Des Moines River just north of Euclid for a night of good-natured frivolity.
The ride is at your own pace and no man (or woman) will be left behind. Costumes are encouraged. Helmets and lights are strongly recommended.
More on the Trails
Sycamore Trail is dirt double-track for the most part, although over a quarter of the trail has been taken over by the new Trestle-to-Trestle paved trail. I would suggest a mountain bike or cross bike. Even a hybrid would work. A road bike is not recommended.
WHY DRIVE TO MINNESOTA FOR THE PUMPKIN RIDE ?
