7.19.05::: Professional RAGBRAI Racer

Mid-season injuries, blahs, musings and meanderings
Midsummer Blahs:::
First a week of strep, then ten days of lower back pain... I guess that is my midsummer break. Great timing, too. Missed Stupor Week and Iowa Games. Alas, the good news is I can start my (re)build up to the fall cross season. Look out in the coming weeks for a new sked and great races!
Jane Riessen:::
Has anyone else noticed the pink sensation this spring and summer? If you haven't, Jane Riessen (DMOS) has been FLYING, pulling down a major victory at Peoria a few weeks ago.
Wes Hartman:::
He hasn't gotten any slower, in fact he just won his first pro race at Superweek. Keep it up!
Clark Priebe:::
Apparently Clark isn't being so secretive about his goal of winning the Dan Bockenstedt Cup in a few weeks at the State RR. His performance at the Iowa Games Road Race was insane according to those who could hang on.
TJ Tollakson:::
For numbers junkies... he was averaging 364 watts at the 6/16/05 Elkhart TT. (I hobbled in at 244 watts three weeks later.) Ouch.
DQ:::
First the all white kit. Now he showed up at the Iowa Games MTB wearing an 'I HEART DQ t-shirt. Wow.
Lambi-itis:::
Since I've given up on Jim Cochran upgrading, my new Cat3 hero is Mr. Lambi. I'll call him the hardest working man in the field at this time. He has gone all across the midwest looking for the illusive 'V' with results that anyone would take as a show of excellence. Keep it up!
