SOAR-Adventures.com proudly presents central Iowa's first adventure race, the SOAR 8-Hour Adventure Challenge, to be held July 16th, 2005!

This will be a great race to participate in if you've never done an adventure race. It will be held right here in central Iowa. THe gear list is minimal and the race cost is cheap compared to other races. The registration is still open! This 8-hour course and is designed to challenge the intermediate teams as well as be a learning event for teams just starting their adventure racing experience. The course will consist of hiking/running, mountain biking (gravel road and single track), paddling, land navigation and a variety of fun mystery events. An estimated breakdown of race disciplines, not in any particular order: 20-25 miles of biking (gravel roads and single track) 2-3 miles of paddling 3-5 miles of trail running 2-4 hours of orienteering
