Once you've cycled this fondo, everything else in life in easy. Except wrestling.

The granGABLE powered by Scheels is a mass-participation cycling event that combines all that is Hawkeye with good health, exercise, and a commitment to excellence.

Nobody embodies this more than legendary athlete and coach, Dan Gable. Through an incredible partnership between Coach Gable, the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Iowa Bicycle Coalition, and RAGBRAI (yes, the experts at RAGBRAI), the ride has emerged as a premier fondo in Iowa!

Ride with cyclists from all over the Hawkeye state (and beyond) on Monday, September 5, 2016. NEW for 2016, we are hosting two route lengths. Choose from 60 miles or challenge yourself by training like Gable and riding 100 miles! All century finishers will earn the exclusive and highly sought after gran GABLE completion medal. Specific details on the route will be announce in the upcoming weeks. So get registered, get training, and pedal for the medal.

Proceeds from the granGABLE fondo will benefit the Iowa Bicycle Coalition and Hawkeye Wrestling Club.
