Special Kids Event – “Twisted Kids” – Free
Special Events!! – Cedar Falls is celebrating Oktoberfest on Race Day. The main Oktoberfest activities occur at
Gateway Park in downtown Cedar Falls, a short distance from Washington Park. Also, Single Speed Brewery will
be at the Race. Try a sample while at the race and stop by Single Speed Brewery on Main Street in Cedar Falls
after the race. You can redeem the stub from your racing bib for a free beverage. Don’t forget to say thank you
to our great race sponsors and the folks at Single Speed Brewery for the beverages and La Calle Bistro who are
donating some prizes.
Directions – The only entrance to Washington Park is via 9th Street in Cedar Falls. The easiest way to get to the
Park is to turn East on 9th Street from Main Street in Cedar Falls. If coming from the North on Hwy 218/27, you
can take the Hwy 57/1st St. Exit West to get to Main Street. Turn South on Main Street and then follow to 9th
Street. If coming from the South on Hwy 58/27, you can take the 18th Street Exit and follow 18th Street to Main
Street. Turn North on Main Street and follow to 9th Street.
Parking – Parking is available at various locations in the Park. Overflow parking is available on Grove Street and
Bluff Street just west of the park.
