About the Ride
To put it simply, the Good Life Gravel Gran Fondo brings you all the
key elements that make up the “Good Life”. Whether you’re a local
looking to explore Iowa’s hidden gravel treasures or are coming in from
out of town for this epic ride, you’ll grow to learn the Midwestern
belief that with hard work and perseverance, good things will happen.
This year’s Gran Fondo will offer 50 and 100-mile route options –
following an unsanctioned, mass-start format. There will be an epic
after party at Tobey Jack’s Mineola Steakhouse our
event host – with an awesome outdoor patio and super scrumptious food.
As if this event wasn’t already awesome enough – proceeds are going to
a great cause: THOR (Trails Have Our Respect). Check out the “Giving Back” section below for more details!

What to Expect
The Good Life Gravel Gran Fondo brings the Midwestern spirit alive
with a unique, challenging and scenic ride – with your choice of
carefully-selected 50 or 100-mile routes tracing through the area’s
signature gravel roads. The courses showcase the rugged terrain once
followed by famous explorers Lewis & Clark and indigenous settlers
headed down the Oregon Trail. You’ll experience where the West began
through the rolling hills of prairie grass, cornfields, rustic barns and
river bluffs. There are a few carefully placed refreshment stations
along the way, but remember, this is a self-supported event so come
prepared. For more details about the ride click here.
The After Party
If everything you’ve read above isn’t enough to get you excited, you
can also look forward to the post-ride Good Life Gravel Apres Party –
bringing locally sourced offerings; everything from post-race libations
to delicious grub for your belly. The party is hosted by Tobey Jack’s Mineola Steakhouse – a bicycle friendly business located a few short blocks off the Wabash Trace trail.
Is the Ride Right for You?
Come join us in the spirit of the Good Life at our local gravel gran
fondo! We don’t care what you ride- just that you ride. So bring out
your gravel bike, mountain bike, skinny bike, fat bike…heck even your
unicycle, if you just happen to be that awesome. We look forward to
seeing you at the start line!
Giving Back
Its a small part of “taking care of our neighbor”…our motto and who we are.
In the spirit of giving back, this year’s Good Life Gravel ride will benefit THOR (Trails Have Our Respect). 10% of ride entry fees will be supporting THOR– our local chapter of the International Mountain Bike Association. Look for THOR volunteers at two of the ride’s aid stations!
