Party Ride

Distance - 4.5 miles - one way

ONE OF SEVEN

This ride is ONE of SEVEN Fat Tire Rides sponsored by  New Belgium Brewing, the makers of  FAT TIRE BEER, and Iowa Beverage.

We are switching it up this year to give some other bars, trails and businesses some New Belgium Luvin's.

Each ride will have a new Starting point, route and destination. Some rides will have entertainment lined up.

At the end of the Seven Rides we will have ridden on at least 12 different Trails through 16 towns and at least 20 bicycle-friendly establishments and probably met 100 new friends. Now that, my friends, is a good Summer of Ridin' !!

TEAM-UP

We are looking for one ore more bike teams to CO-SPONSOR this ride!

What do we need from you?  We need you and your friends to show up, have fun, drink some New Belgium goodness,  help folks get signed up to win the cruiser, be familiar with and ride the route, help other cyclists get from the starting point to the destination and back, and did we mention... HAVE FUN?!?

WIN A 2014 NEW BELGIUM CRUISER

New Belgium will be giving away a 2014 New Belgium Cruiser at the October "FAT TIRE FUN RIDE" which is the last ride of the series. You must go on one of the rides during the series to register to win.

TO WIN THE FAT TIRE CRUISER YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT THE OCTOBER RIDE AND SORRY THE PREVIOUS WINNERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN, BUT YOU CAN STILL PLAY.


All ride dates and routes are subject to change due to weather and trail conditions.

WIN A BIKE

Since this is the LAST Fat Tire Ride, the 2014 New Belgium Cruiser will be given away at 5:00 pm at Mullets! Participate in the other raffles at Mullets and Orlondos during the ride too!

From Mullets in Des Moines to Orlondo Pizza we'll stick right on the Meredith Trail and Water Works Park roads the whole way for the FINAL Fat Tire Ride of the Year. We make swing by Confluence Brewing along the way too (since it is one the way!).

We Welcome new cyclists to these rides! If you are unfamiliar with the area, the route, etc,. Let us know and we will make sure you get there and back!

Mullets has been a BIKEIOWA Sponsor for years and is home to everyone's favorite breakfast, Oakley Night Cap Cross, Urban Assault Ride and tons of cycling events. We certainly have put their green space to use!  Definitely show up early for breakfast and bloodys.

Orlondos Pizza is a destination everyone knows about!  If you are going to the Great Western Trail, you stop here, coming back from rides... you stop here. Countless bike rides a year make their way to Orlondos for the tall boy specials, the outdoor patio, mega-bike parking and of course... the PIZZA & SALAD are to die for!

Quick Ride - We always make the last Fat Tire Ride quick, cause we wanna see who wins the 2014 New Belgium Cruiser and other prizes!  Remember - You must be present to WIN !
