ATTENTION Bike riders and bike rider wannabe's! Saturday September 14th will be the 2nd Annual Dubuque Strong Century Ride featuring 100 Mile, 100K and 50K benefit bike rides. Call your friends and put a group of riders together because it will be a great time. Plus it is a GREAT cause with all of the proceeds going to the Riverview Center. So dust off your old 10 speed, mountain bike, banana seat, unicycle or whatever is your pleasure and start riding!
Riverview Center is a nonprofit agency committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care for individuals affected by sexual assault in Iowa, and for individuals affected by sexual and domestic violence in Illinois. Their free services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, legal and medical advocacy, long and short-term counseling, transition assistance for domestic violence survivors, and violence prevention education programs.
Registered riders receive a T-shirt, post-ride meal sponsored by Carlos O'Kellys and beverages from 7G.
Free Flight will provide SAG.
There will be eight reststops with food, drink and home-baked items.
There will also be music and entertainment at the finish.
The 100 Mile ride meanders through the countryside with breathtaking panoramic views.
The 100 Mile course visits eight towns in Eastern Iowa including: Sherrill, Balltown, Bankston, Dyersville, Farley, Cascade, Bernard, and Peosta.
This year's route features one of the largest hills ever for Iowa Ragbrai . . . Potter Hill.
Also approximately 7000’ of climb for the Century!
