Distance - About 60 miles each day, depending on your start location

This is an exciting year for Tour the Raccoon Five, the NEW North Loop will be open just in time. Come join us and be one of the first to complete the loop. The Tour the Raccoon is a two day, overnight bike tour starting in the Des Moines Metro, riding up to Jefferson via the new loop then we’ll overnight in the trail campground. Sunday morning the 9^th we’ll ride back to the metro via the Traditional South Loop. Get full details in the Rider Handbook at www.dmcycleclub.com.

Route

Saturday from Des Moines to Jefferson via the NEW North Loop through Waukee, Dallas Center, Minburn, Perry, Dawson, Jamaica, Herndon and Cooper. Overnight in Jefferson. Sunday return to Des Moines via the traditional South Loop passing through Copper, Herndon, Yale, Panora Linden, Redfield, Adel, Ortonville and Waukee.
