Distance - 1st running leg 4k, Bike leg 10k, 2nd running leg 4k

WW2 is a team duathlon event - 4k run, 10k bike, 4k run - to raise money for the Pave the Jungle project to build a new all-weather track in Madrid, IA.

Teams of 1, 2, or 3 may enter and take part in the event held on the new High Trestle Trail including the breath-taking High Trestle Bridge spanning the Des Moines River Valley.

Following the event, there will be an after party at the Flat Tire Lounge featuring live music with King of the Tramps, raffles, two awesome outdoor decks, and a whole lot of fun.

Route

The race start/finish line is at the Flat Tire Lounge in Madrid.  The entire event follows the High Trestle Trail.  The 1st running leg goes to the east side of the High Trestle Bridge, the cycling leg is from the bridge to the trailhead in Woodward and back to the bridge, and the 2nd running leg is from the bridge back to the Flat Tire Lounge.

Registration

A $35 per person entry fee covers dualtion participation, event t-shirt, post race meal (the Radish catering), and a commerative cup that is good for drink specials at the after party.  3 person teams made up of family members (parents/children) receive a discounted team fee of $75.
