Saturday morning, June 22, the ride begins at Lake Rathbun, often referred to as Iowa's Ocean. The registration and breakfast for the bike ride will be held at the dedication site west of the Rathbun Dam. Bikers will have a spectacular morning view of the lake as they cross the dam at the beginning of the ride. Participants will then travel through Moravia, a quaint community that is home to the Wabash Depot Museum and then onward to Unionville. Your first stop in Davis County will be Paris, you will wind your way through the beautiful countryside to the Amish Community of Drakesville, taking time to visit some of the unique Amish businesses.You'll then conquer Bloomfield and have lunch in the shady courtyard of the Davis County courthouse, one of the most beautiful examples of French Provincial architecture in the state. Enjoy some of the many intersting shops around the square, visit their attractions, or just relax in the friendly atmosphere. An added bonus this year will be two bands playing on the courthouse square during midday in Bloomfield. There is a Bike Shop along the route, just east of Bloomfield, who will provide technical support along the way. The Troy museum will await your visit as you pedal through the gloriously green, gently rolling hills of Davis County. You will continue on your journey down scenic county road J40 into the first of eleven historical Villages of Van Buren, Lebanon. Then you will travel south to the village of Cantril and onward to the Wickfield Farm Sales Pavilion, where you will be treated to a fascinating guided tour through this historic "old round barn". Supper will be served and we have a nice surprise for the evening entertainment.

Register online at www.active.com Cost of this wonderfully relaxing, family-oriented bike ride is only $20.00 per person if you register prior to June 1, 2002 ($25.00 if you register after June 1, 2002). Your registration fee includes a t-shirt (t-shirts will be mailed after the event for those registering after June 1). All riders (under 18 will require parent/guardian signature) will be required to sign a liability waiver at registration on Saturday morning (beginning at 7:00 AM).
