The October Downtown Farmers Market will be held from 7:30AM-Noon along 3rd and 4th Avenues to include 2nd, 3rd Streets SE and Greene Square Park in Cedar Rapids, IA. 4th Avenue and Ground Transportation Center parkades will be free and open to the public, with additional on street parking available. Handicapped accessible parking will be available in the True North Parking lot along 5th Street SE. Event is free and open to the public. Entertainment for the October 3 market includes several main stage performances, Library Story Time, and street entertainment from Mark Brown and Junk Funk. The Cooking Demonstration for the October 3 market will be the return of the Iron Chef Competition. The City of Cedar Rapids Bicycle Advisory Committee and Bicycle Ambassadors will staff a free bicycle corral (bicycle parking) and information booth. The City of Cedar Rapids Transit Department is planning to provide a city bus with a bike rack, for demonstration of loading and unloading a bike on the bus. It will be located on 5th Street, north of Greene Square Park.
