Party Ride

Distance - 64 +/- depending on the group

A bagger ride to Elroy - leaving on Saturday, May 23rd about 11:00 AM. Camping or whatever you wish to organize in Elroy. Biking back Sunday, May 24th. There are three known 'official' stops along the route: Norwalk, Wilton, Kendall. THIS IS A FAIR WEATHER RIDE. IF IT IS RAINING OR SNOWING IT AIN'T HAPPENING.

Route

The Sparta - Elroy trail is crushed limestone trail. Roadbikes would easily roll but a cyclocross, hybrid, or mountain bike might be a bit safer. From Sparta it is a LONG gradual uphill (maybe 5 -6 miles). Then a VERY long black tunnel. It will be cold and wet in the 1+ mile tunnel - a light is required. You will not be able to 'feel' your way through the tunnel as you cannot see to the other end. A light is more important than beer buring this part of the ride.
