Distance - 24 miles each way

This is a public display of the rights of cyclist. Dallas County wants to pass an ordiance requiring $1,000,000 insurance for group rides of a yet to be determined number.This is to underscore that roads ARE designed and built to be safe for bicycle traffic, we will ride en masse via Hickman Road and us Highway 6 through West Des Moines, Waukee and on into Adel. If we fail to act, this could be one of the last rides we can lawfully do like this.

Route

Leaving the West Side of the State Capital. Head West on Grand to 42nd. Going through downtown and past the Govenors Mansion. North on 42 to University, East to 41st, then continue north to Hickman. West on Hickman all of the way to Adel, IA
