Charity Ride

Distance - 17 Miles

Fundraising Event. All proceeds go directly to the Friends of the Animals shelter in Tipton. Funds will assist with immediate equipment needs. Majority of funds raised for a new, more adequate shelter building.

Route

The ride is a 17 miles beginning at the Tipton Fairgrounds. We will pass through the city of Tipton and go past the Friends of Animals building on 6th street. We will then head south on Cedar Street and turn onto South Street, passing the golf course and proceeding to the beauty of the country in Cedar County. You will enjoy rolling hills, green pastures and many wooded areas. This is an enjoyable ride of medium difficulty. World of Bikes from Iowa City will be on hand for technical assistance. Water will be available at intervals along the ride. Sag wagons will be available and an emergency medical person will be on hand. Back at the fairgrounds, the Lions Club will be selling food to re-energize you. We also encourage everyone to visit the Friends of the Animals facility.
