Description

Distance - 152

The League of Michigan Bicyclists challenges you to test your capabilities after a summer of riding, with a one day ride across Michigan's Lower Peninsula. Beginning with a mass start at 6:30 am at Muskegon's Meinert County Park, north of Montague and finishing at Bay City State Park, over 152 miles way. Just finishing is a worthy achievement! Patterned after the Race Across America, this ride is self-supported. You are responsible for your own repairs and ride support. There will be no sags. The League will provide a lunch near the mid-point. Riders provide their own transportation back from Bay City. Since the start (and for some) the finish, will be in darkness, front and rear lights are required, as are helmets. This ride is for experienced riders in good condition; road bikes are strongly recommended. Since the start and finish points are in Michigan State parks, a Michigan State Park sticker is required for all motorized vehicles.

Route

Straight across Michigan, from the west coast to the east coast.
