I'd like to thank all of the racers that came out to the race despite the heat. On the way home I passed a bank that said the temperature was 102! Crazy I tell ya!

So the race shook down like this, in the expert race Cam Kirkpatrick (Rasmussen Bike Shop) took top honors in 1:26:47. Dennis Grelk (MBWC / Team 14) scored his best IMBCS expert finish with a 2nd place in 1:32:17. Nathan Cline (Mercy / Specialized) rounded out the
top three in 1:33:20.

In the sport race Chris Hanson (MBWC / Team 14) scored his first IMBCS sport win with a time of 1:07:06. Zach Vanderhorst (Orthopedic Center Race Team) came in 2nd in 1:09:15. Thad Neil (MBWC / Team 14)
rounded out the top three finishing with a time of 1:10:03.

Jane Riessen (Mercy / Specialized) won the womens race with a time of 1:20:12.

In the singelspeed category, Bruce Reese (Irwins / Toyota) came in first with a time of 1:12:39. Ian Davis (Irwins / Toyota) came in 2nd with a time of 1:24:24.

In the men's beginner race Bill Koller took top honors with a time of 33:01. Paul Meyermann came in 2nd with a time of 47:13 and David Randolph rounded out the top three with a time of 51:59.

In the women's beginner race Jennifer Gomez took top honors with a time of 52:47.

Description

Mountain Biking (RACE)

Distance - 6 to 20 miles plus

Short course cross county mountain bike race. fast rolling single track with a few mild climes. These events will be NORBA sanctioned and part of the IMBCS series. This event is IMBCS #7 Theses two events will raise funds for the Humaine Society of Central Iowa.

Route

Coures winds through the loomis park trail system.

Registration

Registration will be held from 9 am to 11:30 at Amigos Bar and Race will begin at 12 am. A kids race will be held for the little kids for free begining prior to main event.gifts and prizes for all kids. kids race is free! Parent our guardian and helmet must be present!!
