This is the 2nd race in FORC's 2024 race series. The Illiniwek Abermintion is on May 4th and the 3rd race is the FORC-Side Thrill Ride at Sunderbruch Park on June 2 (FSTR registration to be posted at a later date)
The course consists of a 5 mile loop of wooded singletrack on the beautiful Mississippi River bluffs at Illiniwek Forest Preserve in Hampton, IL. These trails are jam packed with flowing corners, large berms, and ripping descents that are sure to please riders of all skill levels! There are also multiple sections of doubletrack per lap to make passing easier.
Camping available at both Illiniwek Campground and Fisherman's corner just down the road.
**We're changing the categories up so pay close attention to the Time and Race:
9:00am - Long XC race will be 5 laps ~21 miles (for riders that are Expert, Open and strong Sport)
12:00noon - Junior and Beginner race will be 2 laps ~ 8+ miles (Junior and Novice riders)
2:00pm - Short XC race will be 3 Laps ~ 12.5 miles (for strong Novice and Sport riders that want to push a little faster)
