Distance - multiple races with different distances

Saturday's forecast calls for cold morning temperatures, so we are moving the start time from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  The event will still run about 6 hours.

Race Like A Squirrel will now run from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Race Like A Squirrel offers multiple opportunities to compete in short races of varying formats lasting 5-20 minutes. Some of the races that have made an apperence in the past Scratch Race (first across the line wins), an Elimination Race (the person in last place is removed from the race each lap until only one racer remains), and a Points Race (a sprint is held every other lap with 3, 2, and 1 point award to the top 3 finishers in the sprint. The winner of the race is the one to have the most points at the end.). There may be an individual or a team time trial and maybe a team pursuit or fastest lap contest.

  

And we always finish with the Squirrel Race! (One lap in lowest possible gear combination.) 

We are planning to have 5-6 races for each category, and everyone races together in the Squirrel Race.

You will be required to have a USAC license to race. We will have the 1 day $10 licenses avalible at registration or through the online registration at Bikereg.com http://www.bikereg.com/race-like-a-squirrel
