Fifty-three racers lined up at the starting line for Iowa's 2022 State Championship Mountain Bike Race.

Weather was temperate with a good breeze which kept things cool in the woods.

Everyone had a great time and racers stayed around to cheer on other races.

Some racers took advantage of the camping that was available before and after the races.

Hardware is on the line as the Iowa Mountain Bike Championship Series (IMBCS) heads for the hills of the Whiterock Conservancy for the USA Cycling's State Championship Mountain Bike Race for Iowa.

It all goes down on Saturday, June 18, presented by the BIKEIOWA RACING TEAM.

Camping Details

The race officially has these sites reserved for Friday AND Saturday days/nights at Star Field Campground (this is the same location as registration for your convenience):

• Hammock camping area

We have all of the space around those areas to squeeze in as many tents as we’d like. See photo/map for the details.

Cost: Camping is $5/tent

How to Pay? Pay in the envelopes at the kiosk at the entry. Make a note on the envelope that you are with "THE ROCK".
Other Sites: You are more than welcome to reserve any other open sites on the property - sorry - no reservations - all sites are first-come-first-served.

About the Venue

Whiterock Conservancy is a 5,500 acre non-profit land trust that balances sustainable agriculture, natural resource protection, and public recreation. Located near Coon Rapids, Iowa, along seven miles of the Middle Racoon River valley, they are open to the public every day for recreation and exploration. With 16 miles of bike optimized singletrack trails and 12 miles of shared used trails, there is plenty of room to find new adventures. Whiterock also offers camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking and canoeing options. It's a great place for the whole family! Route

RACE COURSE

The race course for all categories will use Little and Big Dipper.

Marathon will utilize other trails and eventually make their way back to Little and Big Dipper.

The trails will be closed to the public that day, but always be aware of your surroundings.

RACE START & FINISH
All races will start and finish at the Star Field Campground. You'll be able to see your adoring fans each lap!

RACE COURSE PRE-RIDE
Trails are open all day Friday, but watch for trail gnomes doing work. Trails are open until 8:45 AM on race day.

ONLINE REGISTRATION opened on May 24th and closes on Thursday, June 16, at 6:00 PM CT.

CHECK-IN and NUMBER PICK-UP

We will be open for business at 7:30 AM on race day. Look for the BIKEIOWA tent near the Star Field shower house.
