Trail Ride

Distance - 22, 40, 56, 86 or 100 miles

Ride on the first trail to connect Iowa to Minnesota!

A multiple bike route event with a choice of:

-       Two family routes (22 miles round trip, entirely on the WGWL Trail)

-       Intermediate Routes (40 miles, on WGWL Trail and county hard-surface roadways)

-       Advanced Route (56 miles, on WGWL Trail, Shooting Star Trail and county hard-surface roadways)

-       Warrior Route (86 miles, on WGWL Trail, Shooting Star Trail and county hard-surface roadways)

- 100 mile century ride

All registered riders receive a map and access to discounts and refreshments at designated restauranteurs (over $15 worth of incentives at six refreshment stations in six different communities in IA and MN).  Physical distancing of 6+ feet is required for all non-related or non-daily contact individuals in compliance with COVID-19 precautions.  The highest level of safety precautions for the municipalities and districts the Border Bike goes through should be followed.

These events have been approved by Howard and Mitchell County Conservation Boards and directly contribute to the safety and enhancement of the 26+ miles of the WGWL Trail.

$12 to ride (pre-register by 10/8/2021 @ 9:00 P.M.) 

$15  same day registration

Event apparel can be purchased online prior to Sept 20th ($14) or available on a first come first serve basis day of the ride ($15).  No size guarantees.
