Come & Enjoy Our Loop Trail!
Join us for our 1st Annual Bike Around the Fairfield Loop Trail Annual Fun Ride. Just like the concept of a walking tour, we will take you on a biking adventure on the trails unlike any you have done before. We will have short informational stops along our 15.9 mile Loop Trail. Come explore the many microenvironments as you roll through gently sloping hills, conifer forests, wetlands, cornfields, creeks, lakes, and deciduous forests. At each juncture, meet a knowledgeable guide who will tell you something about the local nature or community you didn’t already know!
Not only will you be riding through our microenvironments, but you’ll also be riding by the campus of the Maharishi International University. Feel free to stop by and check out the Tower of Invincibility, and the must-see Golden Domes where people practice Transcendental Meditation twice a day.
Please note: The majority of the Loop Trail is crushed gravel so bring a bike you will be most comfortable using. This relaxed ride will be supported with a sag wagon and water/ snack stations. This will be an easy ride for the experienced rider or a bit of a challenge for the casual rider. After the ride, we invite you to explore all Fairfield has to offer!
Fairfield is second to San Francisco with the number of restaurants per capita. We’re home to many great places to eat whether it be vegan, international, or traditional Midwestern. We have an abundance of coffee and tea shops and two local cideries where you can grab a drink to relax. There is no need to rush back home.
Also, feel free to stop by the local farmer’s market in Howard Park and pick up some baked goods and fresh veggies to take home. The Farmer’s Market will be open 8 am – 1 pm on the day of the ride.
We hope to see you there!
