UPDATE JUNE 17th - We are holding the Border Bike on August 24th. If you are looking for a ride this weekend, we encourage you to enjoy our MN partner trail association's Shooting Star Ride on Saturday, June 22nd (http://www.shootingstartrail.org/#currentride). We understand the dedication required to build a trail and to maintain it. Their event, like ours in August, directly benefits the existence of the trail.
If you can't make this weekend's ride on the Shooting Star trail, we look forward to seeing you on the Wapsi-Great Western Line Trail in Iowa and the Shooting Star Trail in MN on Saturday, August 24th. Register now for the Border Bike (IA/MN) - Summer Farewell ride. We appreciate your support of the Wapsi-Great Western Line Trail - a linear park providing a safe place for all to recreate from Iowa to Minnesota.
--------------------
A multiple bike route event with a choice of:
- Two family routes (22 miles round trip, entirely on the Wapsi-Great Western Line (WGWL) Trail)
- Intermediate Routes (40 miles or 50 miles, on WGWL Trail and county hard-surface roadways)
- Advanced Route (56 miles, on WGWL Trail, Shooting Star Trail and county hard-surface roadways)
This ride is a collaborative effort by two trail associations that have built these trail (the Wapsi-Great Western Line in Iowa and the Shooting Star Trail in MN). We're bikers, we get it. Now we want to share a great ride and some tasty rest stops with you.
