Distance - 26.2 Miles with 32 Rolling Hills

Join us for the 11th Annual Tour de Tivoli Bike Ride - part of the traditional Danish Celebration of Tivoli Fest in Elk Horn, Iowa - on Sunday, May 26, 2019.  The route is a 26.2 mile loop beginning at the Danish Windmill in Elk Horn, Iowa and travels through scenic Shelby County countryside and rolling hills passing by Prairie Rose State Park, the Little Mermaid Fountain Park/Hans Christen Andersen Sculpture Garden in Kimballton, and ends back in Elk Horn so riders can enjoy the festivities of Tivoli.   This is a 'ride at your own pace' ride, and with the many rolling hills within the route, will be a great training ride for bikers.  

SAG support is available for riders and refreshment/water stops will be found at Prairie Rose State Park and at the Little Mermaid Fountain Park in Kimballton.  

After the ride, you can enjoy various Tivoli festivities, listen to the music of the Polka Police and eat at any of the  local Elk Horn Restaurants & Food Trucks offering both Danish and American Foods. 

Also be sure to visit the Iowa Craft Beer Tent for some great varieties of craft beer!

Tour de Tivoli Route:  26.2 Mile Loop with 32 Rolling Hills 

• Begins at Danish Windmill, 4038 Main Street, Elk Horn, Iowa
• Ride North on Main Street
• Turn Left/West on F58
• Turn Right/North on M47
• SAG Support/Refreshments at Prairie Rose State Park along route
• Continue on M47 to Hwy 44/Turn Right/East on Hwy 44
• Continue on Hwy 44 to Kimballton/Turn Right on Hwy 173
• SAG Support/Refreshments at the Little Mermaid Fountain Park in Kimballton
• Continue South on Hwy 173 back into Elk Horn/Danish Windmill
