UPDATE: Everyone, park in the paved lot east of the river and south of 66th Ave. Bike over the river on the new ped/bike trail to the gravel lot. We will regroup and leave from the gravel lot at 7:45. If you have a 4X4 truck, you can park in the gravel lot if you want. ;-)
UPDATE (Wed 2:45 p.m.): We have at least 3 fatties, a 29+, and a pathetic little mtb. This ride is on! We will see you in the Sycamore north gravel lot around 7:30 and will roll out at 7:45. Bring lights, jackets, and a sense of adventure.
UPDATE (Wed noon): Boy, we got a lot of snow overnight! We need some fatbikers to ride this evening. Let's have a ROLL CALL. Please comment on our Facebook post with whether you'll be there and what type bike or what width tire you have. — If it's all skinny tires (aka regular mt bikes), we ain't gonna make it. If we get a mix, we can ask the fatbikers to lead. Comment now, and check back for the conclusion around 4:45 this afternoon. Thanks!
UPDATE (Mon): The snow is sticking around. This means the Kyle's Bikes Wednesday Night MTB ride is on this week. More snow is expected on Tuesday. This means that if you own a fat bike, you will want to bring it Wednesday. — Our fearless ride leader will be on a mountain bike, so she plans to ride behind the fat bikes. ?? — Start gathering in the Sycamore north gravel lot at 7:30. We ride at 7:45. All abilities welcome!

Kyle loves mountain biking. And mountain biking is fun. So for the fall and winter, the Kyle's Bikes Wednesday Night Ride is a mountain bike ride on Sycamore Trail!
Meet us at the trail. The "north gravel lot" is off 66th Avenue, just west of the river and east of the Johnston Soccer Fields. If the gravel lot is full, you can park in the paved Neal Smith Trail lot on the east side of the river and ride the new protected bike/ped trail on the bridge.
Gather at 7:30 p.m. We will roll out at 7:45.
The pace will vary depending on who shows up. We may split into smaller groups if the group is large or there is a significant difference in paces. We vary the route a little each time, but regardless of route, we regroup at the following points:
- Double Track (by the gravel pit)
- Fish Camp (confluence of Beaver Creek and Des Moines River)
- Turnaround (the paved Trestle to Trestle Trail)
- Fish Camp
- Double Track
If you've not ridden at Sycamore before and are concerned about getting lost, find Katherine, Kyer, or Kyle before the ride and let them know. We can find you a buddy. :-) We don't want to lose anyone!
BRING LIGHTS. Running into things is *not* fun.
We do not ride wet trails. Nor during blizzards. Watch our Facebook page carefully for updates.
