Last year this was the Firecracker 55, but we have reversed and altered the route for this year's ride. We have also moved up the start time so that we can have breakfast at our regular haunt, The Westside in Alden!

Keep your team colors at home for this ride. Break out your red, white, and blue for this event!

The ride is held during the opening day of Riverbend Rally in Iowa Falls, our annual 4th of July celebration. There will be entertainment and food vendors in Iowa Falls when you return, to include a beverage garden with live entertainment - The Craig Swalwell Band (classic rock).

Overnight options are available. Let me know if you need assistance securing a place to stay. We have the AmericInn and Super 8 in town, a campground just out of town, and a strong cycling community that could help with accommodations.

This event is hosted co-hosted by Team Love Shack.

Route

The route will include starting in Iowa Falls, with stops at The Westside in Alden (6 miles), Happenings in Steamboat Rock (24 miles), The Wellsburg Tap in Wellsburg (10 miles), Grumpy's in Ackley (15 miles), and the Five O Three in Iowa Falls (13 miles). The actual route distance, according to MapQuest, is 67.6 miles -- but when have we ever taken the direct route??? The stretch from Alden to Steamboat Rock will be the longest between stops, but there may be an OASIS along the way...

Registration

A suggested donation of $5 per rider will go to support Hardin County Trails. A signed waiver is also required.
