Carroll County Conservation reminds bike riders that a portion of the Sauk Rail Trail east of Maple River is closed.
The gravel road crossing at Jade Avenue will be closed this week for crossing improvements. The intersection will be made into concrete, similar to others that have been previously done.
The new construction will make the trail much safer to travel on and eliminate having to cross over gravel.
The crossing is anticipated to be reopened next week.
