A Waterloo woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist in February 2020.
The five-year sentence was formally given to 27-year-old Frankie Mae Price at a hearing on Monday.
Police said Price left the scene of a fatal accident on Feb. 2, 2020, that killed 45-year-old Gerrick Terrell Stotser, of Waterloo.
According to Waterloo police, Stotser was riding his bike around 12:40 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle. About an hour later, Price called authorities and said she'd hit someone.
Price was arrested in June 2020 and was held in jail with her bond set at $5,000 after an investigation found her car was damaged.
