A barge on the Mississippi River ran into a bike trail railing in Davenport.
The damage was spotted just east of the Crescent Bridge.
Before 5 p.m., two tugs and barges were spotted near Marquette Landing in relation to the incident. It was not clear what caused the barge to crash into the railing.
People on the barge said they drifted too far right as they were headed downstream.
Officials said there were no injuries reported.
