We've compiled a list of cyclists who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways since last May.
We know there are LOTS more cyclists who should be on the list, but we can't post the information if we don't know about it.
Right now, we have added 41 cyclists to the list since last May. The IDOT shows 340+ since last May.
No injury on the road is too small.
Why do we need a list of cyclists? Numbers are just that... Numbers. But when you put a name, an age, a city and a description of what happened, it becomes something we can relate to. These details are shared with legislators when the Safe Passing law is discussed. Cyclists are NOT disposable.
SO - If you know someone who was injured, PLEASE review the list to make sure they are on it.
