CEDAR FALLS— Peter Komendowski says he knows Iowa has many places qualified to host the annual Iowa Trails Summit, but the Cedar Valley is tailor made for it.
With the partnership the summit has with the University of Northern Iowa and the network of urban bicycling, hiking and water trails, the Cedar Valley is a fitting home for the event.
"I didn't want it to look like I was biased toward where I live," said Komendowski, summit organizer. "Everybody working together here just provides a natural asset."
More than two dozen organizations from around Iowa gathered for the summit at the Center for Energy and Environmental Education building on the UNI campus Friday.
