An annual conference steers back into Perry.
The third annual Bike Trail Tourism Conference New Trail Opportunities is slated for 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., March 31 at Hotel Pattee.
The conference focus is helping current businesses and those considering starting businesses along or near the trails to reach more trail users and capture the growing economic potentials.
“The conference brings attention to the trail system in Central Iowa and the Des Moines metro trails,” said Butch Niebuhr, an organizer of the event. He said some of the trails talked about will be the Raccoon River Valley Trail and the High Trestle Trail.
