Bussey is ready for RAGBRAI

As RAGBRAI passes along from Knoxville next Wednesday and Thursday, Bussey is ready to welcome RAGBRAI riders to eat and rest on their way through.
Katy-Did's General Store will be selling homegrown tomato sandwiches as they did last year; beer, water, and pop will be available to purchase as well. A portion of the proceeds from the sandwiches will being going toward the American Cancer Society. Wilson's Corner, one of the oldest businesses in Bussey, will be selling a large variety of foods as well, including sandwiches, fajitas,and pizza slices, as well of a large variety of ice cream treats.
Following isBussey's welcome toRAGBRAI riders sent by Sheila Dunkin: Bussey is excited for the masses to ride thru our small town! You will be greeted by our cheerleaders as you enter town. You can enjoy such things as bags, dart board, hula hoop contests, and much, much more.
Enjoy the nationally renowned mural painted by local artist Todd Spaur. Todd will be available during the entire day.
Local historian, The Bussey Bootlegger, Doug Spaur, will have a display of Bussey memorabilia at the Bussey Community Center. Please stop and browse in the air conditioned center.
Our community library will have free wi-fi and limited computer access.
The local volunteer fire department will be serving chicken and rib-eye sandwiches. The money earned will be used for the purchase of bunker gear and the jaws of life equipment. Please help them reach their goal!!
Project Pull Together will be selling homemade pies, baked goods, and sport drinks. The money they raise will be donated to the Twin Cedars School Community Outreach program.
Mike Holmes, a professional artist with Bussey ties, will be displaying bike art, note cards, and playing cards at Wilson’s Corner. Check him out!!
Vendors of all kinds will provide food, drink, temporary tattoos, and even clothes!
Jam Time productions will provide music and fun for all!
