Be X-tra aware of traffic when crossing roads on the Hight Trestle Trail...

A road resurfacing project on both directions of Iowa 210 between Iowa 141 (near Woodward) and Iowa 17 (near Madrid) will require restricting traffic to a single lane in alternating directions weekdays and Saturdays during daylight hours beginning Monday, April 29, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Jefferson construction office.

Motorists should expect delays in the work zone and will be directed by flaggers and a pilot car when construction workers are present.

This project is expected to be completed by Aug. 2.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
